The uniqueness of Upper Cervical Technique comes from the analysis and correction of the misaligned upper cervical vertebra, the Atlas, that can be stressing or interfering with the nervous system. Upper Cervical begins by correcting the top of the spine, allowing this correction to cascade down towards the lower spine and body.

The analysis, diagnosis, and adjustment of the subluxated vertebra is an extremely specific task. After a detailed chiropractic examination and x-rays, the upper cervical misalignment is measured on these x-rays. This provides the doctor precise corrective angles, or vectors, to use for your Atlas adjustment. In addition to the effectiveness of this procedure, it is also one of the most gentle techniques available to chiropractors. An Atlas adjustment is the most powerful and precise adjustment a person can ever receive.

Once the upper cervical subluxation is corrected, the muscle spasms, inflammation, pressure and nerve interference is immediately reduced. The body will generally respond quickly. As you maintain this alignment and body balance over time, your body will return to a state of optimal health. This is essential for the body to achieve ultimate health.
